She is riding high off the success of her reality show but she’s struggling to find her lane in music. Her last single “Even Angels” failed to make a splash on the charts. Because of the lackluster success of the single her record company quickly ditched it and is now opting for a new single entitle “Bittersweet”.

Kelis is having the best week ever after being awarded a 100k in her divorce settlement from Nas. The eclectic singer is also giving us a glimpse into what we can expect from her (visually) on her “Flesh Tones” album by releasing the album cover.
Flesh tones will serves as Kelis’ 5th studio outing and will be released internationally on May 17th and in the U.S.on July 6th. I am sure the record company is probably planning to release a more commercially viable single here in the U.S., which is why there is a later release date.
