Ciara premieres new “Ride” video

For all of my Janet stans, am I the only one who sees a bit of “Pleasure Principle” in this video. The solo dance sequences in particular are very reminiscent of Janet’s earlier work.

Not to suggest that Ciara is swagger jacking….its just an observation.

I’m not really blown away by the song or the video but I’m sure after hearing it a 1000 times on the radio, I will be a reluctant convert.

Khia premiers new “Bad Girl” video

Lawd….some folks just don’t get it and clearly Khia is at the head of that line. !st of all let me say this about the song…the beat was okay. We’ve heard it a 1000 times but it was still something I could nod to. Other than that….there is nothing positive to say about the song.

Khia looks like someones mother who doesn’t realize she is past her prime. This video was a 5 alarm mess. She was obviously borrowing a page from the Lady GaGa book to style and lets just say that Lady GaGa needn’t loose a wink a sleep.

The funny thing is she had the nerve to say that she wrote “Bad Girl” for Janet. B*tch, have you lost your mind? Khia, your 15 minutes are clearly up….its time to go back to your day job (boosting).

Kiely Williams of The Cheetah Girls and 3LW releases “Spectacular” new video

I heard the single “Spectacular” a few months backs and after getting past my initial shock from the lyrical content…I actually found it a little catchy. I could see myself getting my grown and sexy on to it in a club. after hearing the song I never thought it would get a video but boy was I wrong.

The video basically follows the story line of the song itself and is obviously made on a budget. I am sure this is probably some sort of buzz single and nothing they are considering really pushing to the masses. In spite of the shoestring budget there were moments of brilliance in the this video.

Kiely’s dancing for one. There were times were I thought I was watching a Pussy Cat Doll and not a former Cheetah Girl. But there were other moments that were not so brilliant.

I really have to take my hat off to Kiely for one thing in particular: instead of of objectifying the herself…she took control and used the man for her own pleasure and even gave us a nude shot of his posterior.

New Video: Shontelle “Impossible”

While I will stope just short of calling Shontelle, the poor mans Rihanna, the similarities are more than obvious. Shonetelle’s new video “Impossible” which stars R&B cutie Steph Jones (real life boyfriend to Jordin Sparks) is very similar to “Unfaithful” by Rihanna.

Take a look at the video for yourself and see if you see what I mean.

I actually enjoyed the song and the video…I just think we’ve seen this before.

Janet debuts “Nothing” video

The big day is finally here, its April 2nd and you know what that means! Why Did I Get Married Too? is in theaters everywhere. In spite of the fact that it opening against the monster 3-D epic “Clash Of The Titans” I am certain that this movie is going to have a huge opening.

All you Janet fans….make sure you go two or three times to make sure Janet’s box office numbers are as solid as possible. I know I am so excited about this movie, I could barely sleep last night!
